6 - True Meaning Of Christmas

Dear (Name),

Merry Christmas! Can you believe it is almost time for me to visit you in (City, State)? We are all so busy here at the North Pole getting the gifts ready for all the good boys and girls around the world. All the elves have been busy working in the toy workshop, and the reindeer have been exercising and practicing rooftop landings to get ready for our long journey.

When I was visiting your house last Christmas, I noticed the beautiful nativity scene your family had set up to honor the baby Jesus. This just warmed my heart, and I often think about how happy it makes me to see that your family does not forget the true meaning of Christmas. So many times kids and grown-ups get so caught up in shopping for presents and decorating the tree that they forget what Christmas is all about. I know it is fun getting gifts, but the greatest gift of all was the gift of God’s only son, Jesus Christ. Jesus taught us all about truth, love and forgiveness. We are so fortunate to be able to celebrate the birth of Jesus every year at Christmas. So be sure to take the time to thank God for your family and friends and for all the special love that you share. This is what Christmas is all about.

Something else worth celebrating is how good you have been this year. In fact, you are at the very top of my nice list again! Mrs. Claus and I are so proud of you. In fact, I had a meeting just the other day with Alabaster Snowball who, by the way, is my chief elf in charge of the Naughty and Nice List. He was so excited to tell me how well you have done in school and how kind you have been to all of your friends. For that, I will be working on a very special gift to leave under your tree this year.

Be sure to keep up the good work at home and in school. Listen to your (Parent 1) and (Parent 2); keep your room clean and always pick up your toys. If you continue to be thoughtful and kind, you will always have something special under the tree from me.

Well, I better go for now to make sure all is ready for Christmas Eve. Be sure to hang your stocking, say your prayers and go to bed as early as possible. Also, be sure to leave some milk and cookies for me and some treats for Rudolph and all the reindeer. Merry Christmas, (Name).

Love,
Santa Claus
