Elf on the Shelf Returns
Merry Christmas (Name),
I sure hope you and your family are having a great time getting ready for Christmas. The reindeer, elves, Mrs. Claus and I are so busy getting everything ready for my journey around the world. Rudolph can’t wait to pull my sleigh to your house in (City, State) on Christmas Eve! His nose is glowing just thinking about it.
I am happy to report that you are at the top of my nice list this year….again! Mrs. Claus and I are so proud. I know your (Parent 1) and (Parent 2) are proud of you also. I sure hope you still like (Name of toy) because I am working on something extra special to go under your tree this year. I was walking through the toy workshop just the other day, and the elves are making some great gifts this year that I know you will like. All you have do is stay on my nice list! You know I always check my list; in fact, I always check it twice.
Because you have been so good this year, I am sending (Name of Elf) back to spend the Christmas season with you and your family. In fact, (name of elf) will be arriving soon. So be on the lookout for (him/her)! I have to tell you that (Name of Elf) has been driving me crazy wanting to go back to your house for a visit. (He/She) has talked about you all year long and is so glad that it’s finally the time of year to visit for the Christmas season. I know (Name of Elf) has some fun things planned for you this year, so watch out! You know (Name of Elf) will be watching you closely; so be on your best behavior so you can remain at the top of my nice list.
Right now the elves and the reindeer are taking a break and are playing outside in the snow. The reindeer are having a snowball fight and the elves are playing hide and seek. I bet you would love to be here playing with them.
Well, I better go tell the elves they need to get back to work in the toy workshop and the reindeer need to practice their rooftop landings. We don’t have much time, and we will have to start loading the sleigh for our long journey. I will also tell (Name of Elf) to start getting ready to travel to your home in (State). (He/She) will be so excited!!
Even though you are excited, please be sure to go to bed early on Christmas Eve so you will be sound asleep when I drop by your house. If you hear a clatter on the rooftop, just go back to sleep – that’s just the reindeer’s hooves! Have a very Merry Christmas and don’t forget to hang you stocking before you go to bed!
